WELCOME TO
IDAHO MATADOR FOOTBALL!!

Matadors part of winning All Star team as "visiting team" wins big!

Matadors leave All Star weekend with seven tropies and lots of love!

The Idaho Matadors were unable to get the Championship trophy they desperately wanted a few weeks ago when they lost a heartbreaker to the AA Champions Eastern Idaho Lionz.

That didn't stop their peers in the league from giving the Matadors some much deserved recognition.  The Matadors collected some serious hardware among some deserving All RMFL Selections.

IDAHO
’S ANTHONY POMERLEE “RUNS AWAY WITH” AA OVERALL MVP HARDWARE; TEAMMATE, JAVON LINCOLN CAPTURES OFFENSIVE MVP AS BOISE’S JOCKUMSEN PICKS UP ANOTHER DEFENSIVE MVP TROPHY

RMFL

It has been an absolutely amazing season for the Idaho Matadors.

The Matadors lost the AA Championship by a fluke fumble on an even flukier 2-point conversion try in overtime.

That, however, seems to be the only thing the Matadors have lost this season.

With the General Manager, Jesus Jara,  winning GM of the Year, the Matadors continued gathering shiny hardware as running back, Anthony Pomerlee, captured the rushing title, then the scoring title and then literally “running away” with the overall MVP voting, getting 43 overall first place points, a comfortable 21 points more than second place finisher, teammate, Javon Lincoln.

Lincoln, however, would not be denied, moving up with Pomerlee's overall MVP title and picking up the offensive MVP over teammate... Tom Bennett and fellow Boisean, Tyler Collingwod.  The dynamic due of Pomerlee and Lincoln proved to be ultimately lethal to all teams, except the "sunnyside up" Eastern Idaho Lionz, who admittedly, "escaped" with the AA Championship more than "grabbing " it.

Two-time overall league defensive MVP, Zac Jockumson gained recognition once again for his stellar play at linebacker and special teams as the Managing board gave him the defensive MVP nod over runner ups, Mike Pease of the Great Falls Gladiators and Tagg Williams of the Madison Lionz.  It was the first full season for Jockumsen when he did not lead the league in tackles, finishing second to Mike Pease, however, he still gained the recognition as a great team leader for the Speed in leading the team as one of the top defenses in the RMFL.
