Mr. Buddy Linton
January 10, 1944 - August 7, 2008)


Buddy  Linton

Buddy Linton, 64 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008, in Shands at UF in Gainesville, FL following a brief illness. The native and life long resident of Live Oak, FL was a self employed contractor. Buddy loved being with and mentoring children which was evident by the many athletic fields that he built and maintained over the years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife, Norma Linton, Live Oak, FL; one son, Stephen (Summer) Linton, Live Oak, FL; two daughters, Laura (Jeff) Simmons, Live Oak, FL; Tricia (Rick Jay) Williams, Live Oak, FL; one brother, Henry (Kathy) Linton, Macclenny, FL; five sisters, Mary English, Live Oak, FL; Frances (John) Coxwell, Jacksonville, FL; Betty (Johnny) Bernheim, Buna, TX; Norma (Walter) Lawson, Live Oak, FL; Nancy (Vincent) Allen, Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made at any First Federal Savings Bank to the Buddy Linton Medical Expense Fund. Funeral services were held Monday, August 11th at 10:30 am in the Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Davis and Rev. David Hington officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
