Welcome to the website of the McGill Toolen girls tennis team. 

The match schedule is now upto date for both the Varsity and JV. We will not be making up the UMS match.

Our Varsity opened their season with a resounding 8 -1 win over Murphy and then  fell to 1-1 with a 7-2 loss to St Pauls. We got back on the winning track by beating MGM by a 7-2 margin ( where the matches were a lot closer than the score would indicate) and Baker by an 8-1 score. We then played a fun match against Carrollton Ga losing by a 7-2 margin. We ran our record to 10-3 with consecutive 9-0 wins over Alma Bryant, Vigor, Davidson and Saraland and a loss to Bayside. Following the Bayside loss, we beat Cottage hill by a 9-0 margin and MGM and Bayside by 7-2 margins. Both MGM and Bayside involved tough matches where our girls played their best tennis.

The JV got off to an excellent start in our first  match against Baker  winning by a margin of 15 - 3.   We improved our record to 8- 0 with  wins over St Pauls, MGM, Baker,  Davidson another win over St Pauls and repeat wins over MGM and St Pauls. The JV conclude their season with a match against Baker on Monday. Following the match, all JV players are invited to Cold Snap for an ice cream to celebrate what I think will be an unbeaten season.
