Bad start to the season
The Nationals opened up their inaugural season by dropping both games of today's doubleheader agaisnt the Cupertino Twins at De Anza College. The first game ended in the 7th inning due to the 10-run rule as the Nationals dropped a 13-3 decision. The second game ended in defeat as well this time by the final score of 5-0. The Nationals were held to 3 hits in the loss. Starting Pitcher Daniel Nimri pitched a complete game in the loss pitching 7 innings giving up 5 runs 4 of which were earned and struck out 12. The Nationals will try to right the ship in 2 weeks when they take on the Santa Cruz Mets on May 20th at 10am at Aptos High School.
