Participation in Morristown High School athletic events is a privilege for athletes and parents alike; however, with this privilege come responsibilities. Student athletes represent all of Morristown and are therefore expected to adhere to the Athletic Code of Conduct at all times.
In addition to helping enforce the Code of Conduct, MHS Colonial parents are expected to be a positive role model by adhering to rules of good sportsmanship:
In regard to MHS coaching staff:

Respect all decisions made by the coaching staff.

Recognize that practices may occasionally run past the allotted time

Set an appropriate time with the coach to discuss concerns.
In regard to game officials/ referees:

Be respectful to all officiating decisions.

Treat the officials with respect before, during and after the game..
In regard to opposing teams and their fans

Recognize and show appreciation for outstanding play for both teams.

Respect the opposing players, coaches, and spectators.

Do not criticize an opposing team, its players, fans, coaches or team by words or gestures.
In regard to your son:

Condemn unsportsmanlike conduct in any way, shape, or form.

Abide by the trainer in all matters of player’s health and injuries.
In regard to Social Media of all types:

Remember that what ever is written in cyberspace cannot be taken back or deleted.

If you wouldn't say it to your mother - don't say it in social media.

Do not make comments that could compromise the game plan or give an edge to our competition.
